7. The cable fitting is designed so that the cable can only be pushed one-way into the fitting.  Unscrew the protection cap of the fitting and slide the cable into the fitting.
   
   
   
   
    
8. Pull the cable away from the housing until it stops. Then feed the loose cable into the fitting until cable is tight. This sets the correct distance for the stick and eliminates future need for measurement.
   
   
    
9. Slide the protection cap back and screw into place over the threaded release pin. This prevents the adjustment fitting release pin from accidentally being pushed in, which would release the cable.
